Prior Deportation

A prior deportation or removal creates a re-entry bar (five, ten, or twenty years, or permanent) and reinstates automatically if the person returns without permission. Returning without authorization after removal can also be a federal crime.

Requires current verification · Editorial record dated 10/20/2026 · Not lawyer review or an eligibility decision. Check current official instructions.
